Modern Art can be found in Margate at the Turner Contemporary and Hastings which has the Jerwood, Eastbourne with the Towner Gallery, and Bexhill which has the famous De La Warr Pavilion. Theatre and music lovers will appreciate the Marlowe theatre and the Gulbenkian, both in Canterbury.
Kent is awash with beautiful gardens, such as Sissinghurst Castle Garden, Great Dixter House and Gardens, Chartwell House, where Churchill lived and painted, Hole park Gardens and Godinton House and Gardens, Doddington place Gardens, Belmont House (with a clock museum) and gardens, and Bedgebury National Pinetum and Forest. Nearby there are a few very good nurseries.
